My exhibition, “Stories: Monoprints and More,” opens at City Arts this Friday, December 3, and runs through the holidays. The title is an apt descriptor: most of the works are monoprints, though there are also several handmade books as well as a Japanese woodblock print, and they all have to do with themes of narrative and story-telling. Many of them deal with my on-going interest in the concept of shared knowledge, looking at how specific types of knowledge are passed between generations, particularly between women and children.
