Winter Walking and Other Scores

Many thanks to all the friends and colleagues who attended my virtual talk through the University of Alberta’s Sound Studies Institute last week, and to Scott Smallwood for the generous invitation. “Winter Walking and Other Scores: Listening as Artistic Practice” gives some insight into my current Fulbright work and my thinking about listening with our whole bodies as a mode of relational connection that can be enacted through walking, writing, stitching, and other forms of making. Since the talk also gives an overview of the threads I’m envisioning for my next book, Acts of Listening: Art and Relational Attunement, I thought it might be useful to link to the talk here on my site as well. Take a listen, if you’re interested!
