Many thanks to all the friends and colleagues who attended my virtual talk through the University of Alberta’s Sound Studies Institute last week, and to Scott Smallwood for the generous invitation. “Winter Walking and Other Scores: Listening as Artistic Practice” gives some insight into my current Fulbright work and my thinking about listening with our whole bodies as a mode of relational connection that can be enacted through walking, writing, stitching, and other forms of making.
