We are busy making plans for the arrival of Dave Loewenstein and his two assistants, Erika Nelson and Matthew Farley. Our first community meeting will be held on Monday, July 19 at 7pm at the Carriage Factory Gallery. We hope to hear input from all segments of the Newton/North Newton communities–stories, histories, ideas for imagery, hopes for the future. Dave and his assistants will work with our community to produce what we hope will be an amazing visual part of the downtown area. Mike Combs has generously offered his wall as a blank canvas and we hope to go with that space, facing both downtown and the railroad tracks that are such a vital part of our community’s history and future.
